High on top of a hill in the Blue Mountains Jamaica visitors who are not just interested in beaches find a colonial style hotel which was listed by the New York Times in its bestselling guide “1000 Places To See Before You Die”. Strawberry Hill is nestled in the now lush tropical gardens of a former 10 hektar (26 acres) coffee plantation and consists of 13 Georgian style wooden villas all furnitured with mahagonny peaces and nice fretwork. There are five categories ranging from two bedroom villas with terrace and kitchen to studios (37 sqm). Guests find a lot of privacy and there is also a great infinity pool and a little spa. The main building called Great House contains the main restaurant, the library and the “Gold Room”whose walls are filled with music awards and photographs of rock stars.
