If you have the chance attend an evening at world renowned La Fenice theatre.
This 96 room luxury classic has enchanted many of it´s guests by the impeccable service, the olympic sized pool and the location miracle it does: Staying in the Cipriani you can escape the buzzling heart of Venice, St. Mark`s square within five miunutes by one of the complimentary hotel boats and yet you are away from the tourist hordes and can sip a Cappucino in peace and quietness watching the boats in the lagoon. The reason is simple: The Cipriani is located on the Island of Guidecca and therefore there is another bonus: privacy. This may be the reason why so many film stars and celebrities who attended the Venice Film Festival have stayed here. Among them George Clooney, a fan of the hotel for two decades, with a special relation to the bar (see our movie). So what do the rooms look like? They boast with gorgeous fabrics and elegant furniture all with a Venetian touch but we do not want to go into details as a big refurbishment is on the way and we will see how the facelifting will change this beloved classic hotel legend. In general the Cipriani consists of two buildings, the main one and the annex, the Palazzo Vendramin. Vendramin suites come with a Butler service and guests can enjoy a great view at St. Mark’s square opposite. The property belongs to the Belmond group, now part of Louis Vuitton, which guarantees high standards in all fields. The breakfast for instance boasts a great variety and is simply great. Foodwise there is the Michelin-starred Oro gourmet restaurant (closed during the Pandemic) and directly on the lagoon the more informal Cips restaurant serving Venetian specialties like carpaccio and very popular also among locals. James Bond – impersonated by Daniel Craig – went on land here in “Casino Royale”. Thinking of Craig´s muscles, yes, there is a gym and also a spa and a tennis court. And there is a nice garden where Casanova onece used to date. Our favourite place remains the bar and the pool where life tastes like Dolce Vita. All in all: A pricey but unique luxury hotel in Venice with a famous name.
Indicative – subject to change.

A sparkling day at the Prosecco hills where Italy´s “champaign” is produced (just 50 minutes away from Venice, around 150 Euro, full day).
