Wieviel Platz an Bord? Das Geheimnis der Luxusformel.

Wieviel Platz hat man als Kreuzfahrpassagier? Das ist nicht nur eine Frage der Kabinengröße, sondern auch der öffentlichen Bereiche eines Schiffes. Gibt es überall Warteschlangen, beim Buffet, bei der Sauna? Muß am um Liegestühle “kämpfen”? Fühlt sich ein Schiff “übervoll” an, oder sind im Vergleich zur Schiffsgröße nur relativ wenige Menschen an Bord, hat man das Gefühl, man sei fast auf einer privaten Yacht? Es gibt eine Maßzahl, mit der man die unterschiedlichsten Schiffe vergleichen kann, wieviel Platz sie ihren Passagieren außerhalb der Kabinen bieten. Man nennt sie die Passagier-Raum-Zahl, auf Englisch die Passenger-space-ratio. Errechnet wird sie ganz einfach: Schiffsgröße dividiert durch maximale Passagierzahl.Je höher diese Zahl, umso besser für die Passagiere. Bei überfüllten Diskontlinern kann diese Zahl unter 20 betragen, bei Luxuslinern über 60, 70, ja sogar 80.
